Jake Morton is a founding member of the electro-punk band Super Fun Down Under (SFDU) and an experimental electronic artist in his own right, performing dense, improvised sets that combine live drums with real-time electronic processing on a custom-built sampler he engineered himself.
Jake has toured Japan every year since 2023, playing solo sets alongside SFDU's full-band shows on each run. In February 2025 he released his debut solo work, BIO>EGO, a collection of unedited live recordings from 2022–2024. That August's Japan tour took him through Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo while SFDU completed a 4-city, 10-show run to strong response in the same window.
Working from drummer and experimental musician Deantoni Parks' method, Jake has built a performance language that integrates live percussion and sampling in real time. He co-runs the label Human Records with Guy Cooper, which works out of the studio Serotonin Productions on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.
